I think one thing I would have done had I the funds to make it happen was to have my book professionally edited. I did have other eyes on it besides my own and they did give me advice and things to fix, so it wasn’t just myself.
I also learned a lot more about cover creation after creating the cover for it. I love the cover, but it could be better.
Getting my book to beta readers sooner so they didn’t have the pressure of the looming release day hurrying them through the book.
I also would have gotten my book into final form sooner to apply for my copyright earlier.
However, all in all, it went well for my first time.
